Conference Highlights
2006:
The 2006 conference
was held on April 27-28 at the
Clarion Prince Charles Hotel in Fayetteville,
NC.
The conference was titled “Celebrating Advanced Practice: A
Salute to Advances in Neonatal Care.” Please see the side
column for the agenda. Attendees received a CANNP tote bag.
We tried a
couple of new things this year. First, members were asked
to submit a "Case of the
Year" to be presented on Thurs.
April 27th. They were
asked to think about babies they had taken care of and to
submit an abstract of no more than 500 words detailing
specifics about the case that they would like to be
present. Also, they were asked to include a CV
including contact information. Second, we
offered a reception with round
table discussion on Thurs. evening with CEU credit!
The person who was selected to present
the case study was rewarded with free conference
registration!
Members of the
conference planning committee were
Lee Shirland, Judy Philbrook, Cindy Russell, Joan Lucas and
Margy Priddy.
The committee worked hard to ensure
a wonderful conference.
